Indeed, the South African Weather Website will always provide a large range of helpful services for free.However for a tiny subscription fee (in fact for the price of a decent drink (excl coke) ;)) you can enhance your experience and interaction with the South African Weather Service... on our main website, on your mobile, or embeded on your desktop.
As a premium user you will have a privileged access to a range of exclusive apps and widgets.
Website enhancements - Advert free website, meteograms for every town & dam, more detailed town tables, zoom on storm and lightning maps.
Mobile capabilities - iPhone app, and our mobile friendly webpage suitable for most phones, both covering nearly all you get on the main site.
Widgets/Gadgets - Tables, Surf reports, amd Dam reports for most major platforms (iGoogle, Windows Vista, Windows Live, Apple Dashboard, Netvibes, etc).
More coming - we've developed Open API calls for developers to use, and our rev-share model is very exciting. You can expect more applications to come very soon.
